June SOTM: 12" × 12" Uniquely You Page

Helpful Hints

To create the techniques featured in this artwork, follow the helpful hints outlined below. Then use the Reflections: Front & Center—Split Focus™ (altered) pattern from our how-to publication for inspiration.

  • Cut the following Cricut® Artiste shapes using papers of choice, if desired:
    • 2" Accent 3 <2> (p. 32)
    • 3/4" Accent 4 <f> (cut 3, p. 54)
    • 4" Shift+3D Object <K> (cut 2, p. 58)
    • 2 3/4" Accent 2 <MtherDay> (p. 74)
  • Do not cut pieces C, D, or F.
  • To create the leaf border along the top portion of the page, stamp the leaf 9 times on scrap Colonial White paper, making sure to join the leaves end-to-end; trim along top curve of leaves, creating a scallop.
  • Add visual interest by cutting the ends of two strips of paper in multiple chevron designs then attach to page, making sure there is an even space between each cut design.
  • Embellish with stamped accents, paper accents, and accessories, adding dimension with 3-D foam tape as desired.

Roxybonds Scrappers blog hop

Welcome to to the Roxybonds Scrappers blog hop!  This month we will be featuring artwork from the Surf's Up paper pack.

If you came from Catherine's blog then you are on the right track.

Here is the surprisingly simple card I made.

The best part of this card is that it required NO stamping or inking so it was quick and easy to complete.  I cut the base out of Surf's Up teal cardstock at 6x12 and scored at 6".  I then cut the coordinating\g b&t papers at 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 (waves) and 5 x 5 (beach).  I used the zip strip of beach balls for accent pieces.  I also punched the girl with umbrella out of the same piece using a 1 1/4" circle punch and the teal with a 1 3/8" punch.

Supplies Used:
Surf's Up paper pack (X7168B)

Your next stop on the hop is Jen Patrick of Roxybonds Scrappin.  Thank you for hopping along with us and make sure to come back next month to see what we create!

Stampers with an Attitude Hop

Welcome to the Stampers with an Attitude Blog Hop!  Thanks for joining us in sharing some Fun in the Sun to get the Summer in full swing.

If you came from Sheila's blog then you are on the right track.

My project is a card featuring a retired paper pack called Moon Doggie.  I love the tropical Hawaiian theme of this paper pack and it always reminds me of soaking up the sun on a beach with one of those umbrella drinks in my hand.

The best part of this card is that it required no stamping or inking so it can be completed quickly and easily with just the paper pack and coordinating my stickease.

I hope you enjoyed fun in the sun with me and please continue onto Pamela's blog to enjoy some more fun.

CTMH Consultant Blog Hop: A Flowering Bunch

Welcome to our June Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!  This month's stamp from Close to My Heart is "A Flowering Bunch" and is available exclusively through your Close to My Heart consultant from June 1 - 30, 2013.  You can purchase this stamp set for only $5 with a qualifying purchase.

If you have just hopped onto my blog, please start at the beginning at Lucy's blog – Love 2 Create

For my project I used a paper from a retired paper pack.  I cannot tell you the name but the pattern and the color just worked as a great back ground for this project.  I used the Cricut Artiste cartridge to cut the shapes and then stamp them in coordinating ink colors.  I simply made a tag for the sentiment along the bottom.  I added some bitty sparkles to give it a touch of bling. This was a very quick and easy card to make once I had the design.

Supplies Used:

Colonial white card base & envelope X1410
Cotton Candy ink pad Z2193
Sweet Leaf ink pad  Z2153
Creme Brulee ink pad (Z2167)
Crystal Blue ink pad (Z2117)
Blush ink pad, for daubing edges (Z2106)
Cricut Artiste (Z1790)
Bitty sparkles (Z1263)

The Everything ABC's Blog Hop Letter K

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop!

For this hop we will be featuring the letter K. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their K element will be featured in their post.

For my project I decided to make something featuring a Kite!  Since the warmer weather is finally upon us, it seemed like a natural transition for the theme of my card.  I apologize for not realizing that so many of the products I used are no longer available but I have to use up my stash somehow, right?

I used a Cricut cartridge to cut out a kite and some shadow pieces.  I also used the Artiste cartridge to cut out the sentiment piece.  I used an A size stamp set to make some clouds and fussy cut one out of a retired paper pack.  Please see my supply list below for all the specifics.

Supply List:

Colonial white card and envelope (X1410)
Cricut Artiste cartridge (Z1790)
Pacifica ink pad (Z2192)
Outdoor Denim ink pad (Z2140)
Sunset ink pad (Z2191)
Cricut Create A Critter cartridge
Dream Pop paper pack (NLA)
